Meg Stratton-Thomas

About me

I am predominantly a 20km race walker for Wales, aspiring for a GB vest and the Commonwealth Games qualification standards. I currently live in the Gower, Swansea.

I have always had a passion for sport, in particular the rehabilitation of injuries through exercises and manual therapy. I came about this passion due to suffering with a multitude of injuries myself, so I have an understanding of the physical and mental challenges they can present.

I studied at Cardiff Metropolitan University, where I gained a BSc Hons in Sports Conditioning, Rehabilitation and Massage, and alongside gained my Level 5 Sports Massage qualification. In 2021, I joined Swansea Clinic of Natural Medicine after free-lancing in sports therapy for a year and since have qualified in Acupuncture and Dry needling.

In addition to my work at Swansea Clinic, I do pitch side physio for Fall Bay Rugby Club, where I handle a wide spectrum of injuries and face a number of challenges. I am continuing to upskill myself, currently focussing on the psychological stresses that limit the body’s healing responses, so I can help restore my clients health from an holistic stand point.
